A Run in Ireland

First off let me say that the hills in Ireland are no joke! At one point I was running at a 15% grade! Half this run was uphill with varying degrees of grade (mostly 8-15) and the last half was downhill at about a -3% grade. Oh yeah, my legs are burning.

The views were very pretty! I started out by the seaside and ran inland by some sheep farms. It was lovely. The camera view was not a steady movement, rather a change of picture every 15 seconds or so that placed me a few feet farther down the road.

I was pleased at keeping a near 12 min pace. I did have to grab hold of the rails the last bit of the 15% hill though. My run tomorrow is a google map run I created myself of "THE HILL." I am going to run Eastside Hill, you know, the never-ending hill for our half marathon. I am running 1.8 miles so I will start back behind the bridge and run up to the church at the corner of Eastside and Cain. May the odds be ever in my favor.

Monday is also my weigh-in day. I am at 190.4. I would like to be in the 186-187 range by Wednesday. (My official weigh-in day for DietBet.) That means lots of water and high protein foods between now and Tuesday night. I am a little disappointed with myself for losing my motivation last month, I could be so much farther than I am, but I am here now, and will be super focused this month. My DietBet goal is 184 by November 16th. I can totally do this, thank to my new treadmill!
