12.5 in 2:53.42. I am not gonna lie, it was brutal after mile 9. Today I wore the same clothes i plan to wear on race day. Good thing i did. I have always worn long sleeves up until today and i had no idea the straw from my Camelback was so annoying. It really rubbed the inside of my upper arm. I am going to order some compression sleeves and gloves and give them a try to see if they help. At the end of my run, my hands were hamburgers with 5 hot dogs attached lol hence the gloves.
My playlist is dialed in nicely. I do need to remove 2 songs, they are just too fast for my slower pace. Once I do that, it will be spot on!
I al really looking forward to seeing you all and spending time with you. We really should make this an annual event.
1 month to go!
This is a place to post workouts and training tips. Our goal is personal fitness and the benefits it brings. For me, that means running marathons. What does it mean to you?

Slow Start
I had a slow start this week. I did my long run on Sunday, so took yesterday as my rest day. I am quite pleased with tonight's run. I took 1 minute off my best time! Woot woot.
With 1 month until the race, I really need to hit all of my daily runs, even if i cut the mileage, i need to get my heart rate up!
Saturday is scheduled for a 12.5 mile long run... may the odds be ever in my favor...

The treadmill only makes a long run longer
I actually went 9 miles, but my treadmill cuts off at 99 minutes (argh). I needed to stop and reset at a place I could easily remember but not pass 99 minutes.
I wanted to stop at 5.5 miles, but walked for a minute then kept going. Hanna is finally comfortable with her place in our pack so I think it will be easier for me to hit my daily runs this week. I am scheduled to go 12.5 miles on Saturday and if I want to finish it, I NEED to hit ALL my dailys.
Depending on how this half goes, I am going to start my ultra training the week after the race... Am I crazy? Wait, don't answer that!

5 weeks left
I am pretty pleased with this run. I finally broke 48 minutes for 4 miles!
My goal this week is to hit ALL my dailies. No more goofing off. I've got 5 weeks until race day and i seriously need to get serious. Lol
I want all my runs to be steady paced, whatever that looks like. I want to stay around an 11-12 min pace.
I'm still slow, but I'm lapping everyone sitting on the couch!

10 mile run plus some!
I totally earned my Bada$$ Card today. It was pouring buckets all morning long with gusts of chilly wind. The temperature was in the low 40s and man oh man I am still freezing.
I actually ran more than 10 miles. I missed the turn around point. Not gonna lie it was rough. I did this run in 2:21.27. So if I'm on the conservative side and say I ran 10.5 miles then, I kept about a 13+ pace. Note to self, I need to do a better job at completing my daily runs!
Bring on the next week!!!

46 Days and counting
So, last week was a total bust. A new puppy joined our pack and threw my schedule out the window. She is awfully cute though.
So today I ran for time, 40 minutes
Not a horrible workout, but not stellar either. I'll take it though, since i didn't run at all last week. We are in the home stretch! Just gotta keep on keepin' on!
