1.2 4 miles

Not as fast or as smooth as I would have liked, but it's done. I did a 5 min warm up walk, then ran at 5.0 the rest of the workout. At the 3.2 mile mark I started sucking wind, sheesh, that last half mile was rough. I clearly lost more conditioning from the last 2 weeks than I thought.

Chris comes home tomorrow, so he will need to be sleeping most of the day. He has to go back to Portland Friday night so I will take tomorrow and Thursday as my rest days and run 4 miles again of Friday, long group run on Saturday then a super slow 3 miles on Sunday.

Back at it, one day at a time

"Mulligan" 1.1 A Do-over

I feel like I need a do-over. It has been a few weeks since I have been running "on the regular." I had knee trouble followed by weather and life issues. So, let's just start with a new beginning!

I felt really good this run. I did a 10 minute walking warm up and then ran the remainder of the 3 miles at 5.0 on the treadmill.  It took me about half a mile to find my groove but once I did I kept it the entire run.

I have hit a plateau weight wise (180), so really need to buckle down this week and watch what I eat.

6.0 summary and long run report

Week 6.0 was pretty much a bust. I strained my knee and spent most of the week walking. I didn't get my mileage in either. I did get my 5 miler in on Saturday but it was tough. My knee started hurting at mile 3 so I did the last 2 miles walk/jog style; 1 minute walking 2 minutes jogging. I'm glad Sunday is my rest day, I needed it.

Snowmageddon part 2 hit us today. Work is closed tomorrow, so I get the day off. Stake Conference was even canceled. I plan to sleep in tomorrow and hit the treadmill after I feed in the morning, provided we still have power.

Bring on week 7.
